Where to go: Lagoa is a small city where you can see a church and a typical vegetables and fish market. Silves is known for its castle, a small city with character and history. More in land on the hills you can find Monchique, well known for the “Medronho” (typical firewater). Here the tradition of the Portuguese life style still survives. Sausages fair is a weekend attraction in Monchique. Sagres is 50km away from Ferragudo, there are 2 interesting points to visit: Fortaleza de Sagres and the Lighthouse.
By the river in Portimão you can get a boat trip along the coast or an all-day to fish.
